What is a domain transfer?
Domain transfer refers to moving a domain name from its current registrar to another domain registrar, with the new registrar providing related services for your domain. After a domain transfer, the expiration date is generally extended by one year, but there are also cases where the expiration date remains unchanged, which is called "losing a year".
How to obtain the transfer authorization code?
A domain transfer requires obtaining a transfer authorization code (EPP code/Auth code). There are two ways to obtain the transfer authorization code:
Obtain the transfer authorization code via SMS.
Obtain the transfer authorization code via email.
Conditions for domain transfer
Domain transfer is provided free of charge. You can transfer your domain as long as the following conditions are met:
Please confirm that the domain name you want to transfer has been registered for more than 60 days, and for domestic domains, there are more than 15 days left before the expiration date; otherwise, the transfer will not be successful.
Please confirm that the domain name you want to transfer has not been pushed or had its domain information updated within the past 3 days; otherwise, your transfer application will be rejected.
Please note whether your domain has privacy protection enabled or is undergoing a domain ownership transfer.
How to obtain the transfer authorization code (continued)
After this application is successfully submitted, the system will automatically send the transfer authorization code to your WHOIS registered email address.
